Heard from a friend about this great Indian cuisine, and my wife and I love Indian food, so we had to try it. AMAZING! From the jalapeño samosas to the lamb Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken and garlic Naan, the food had the right spice and fire. And the great drinks made by the bartender were the best bar none. A definite repeat visit.

Food was delicious and very flavorful. Portions were also huge providing great value. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided great recommendations especially when it came to spice levels. The atmosphere was exceptional. A very comfortable, modern style. Overall a fantastic experience. One that I would recommend to anyone.

This is the best Indian food in Frederick. The spice levels are good without being overwhelming for my frail whitey tasted buds.On request I think they will step up the spice levels for you as well.Staff was very accommodating when I came in with my baby. Also go for the lassi cocktail.

Went to andaz and had an awesome time. The music and their friendly staff were the show stealers. I’m not a sea food fan but my lord!! Their branzino just made me change my opinion on sea food. The sheer hard work and determination to serve and deliver one of the best food is what you can look out for at this venue.I would recommend all my colleagues and also ensure all my parties are held down at this venue…

Impeccable surroundings and service. Delectable food!!! A sampling of chicken croquettes and lamb chops (served from a smoking box!) Bronzino and chicken…cannot forget the Goat cheese/truffle naan. Nor truly the best tres leches EVER! Elegant yet comfortable surroundings. Never mind exquisite music selection. See you again soon.

We are Hike Lovers International and we hike all around DMV and today after a hike in Gambrill Frederick, we decided to have some indian food. ANDAZ is a brand new restaurant and we wanted to try. We were around 15 people and we got to the resturant pretty late. The staff accommodated our group . I judge a place by service first then food and I can definitely give 100% to both service and food for Andaz. What a fabulous service and the food was just mind blowing. I loved the lasuni gobhi, daal makhani, the koftha, palak chat and palak paneer, the naans were perfect as well. All in all a 5 star experience. Will definitely recommend this place as a must checkout .

Visited Andaz Indian Restaurant yesterday, and it was more than just a meal—it was an experience that touched my heart. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed like family. The warmth of the staff, the soothing ambiance, and the aroma of freshly prepared Indian spices instantly made me feel at home.Every bite of the food was a journey of flavors, crafted with love and authenticity. The Paneer butter melted in my mouth, and the Tandoori Sea Bass was simply divine. The naan, soft and warm, reminded me of the comfort of a home-cooked meal. It wasn’t just food; it was a celebration of culture and passion. What truly made the evening special was the kindness of the staff. They didn’t just serve food—they shared stories, smiles, and genuine care. It’s rare to find a place that feeds both the body and soul, but Andaz does just that.I left with a full heart and a promise to return. If you’re looking for a place that serves not just great food but also warmth, love, and unforgettable memories, Andaz is the place to be. Highly recommended!

We waited a long time for this spot to be filled in our cozy little village. There are two other great restaurants on the “square” but there’s always room for more. Yesterday was the soft opening (3/21/2025) and we decided to see what modern Indian cuisine was all about. We opened the door and were greeted by the partners and staff. We were their first customers! After a photo session we had our choice of tables and were ushered to one with a view. We were offered “mocktails” since the liquor license won’t be available until the following week. The blackberry (jamun) mojito and mango mojito were out of this world bursting with flavor! The menu was well organized giving us small and large plate choices. Our server, Malcom, explained the various dishes. We chose Kale Fritters and Jalapeño Samosas to start and for our main course I selected Butter Chicken “spicy” and my wife chose Hyderabad Bagara Baigan (baby eggplant cooked in a smoky, spiced tamarind gravy). The meal wouldn’t be complete without an order of Garlic Naan and Mango Chutney. As we waited for our food more people came in the door. Some were neighborhood walkers satisfying curiosity and the rest were patrons much like us coming in to see what all the fuss was about. Our small plates arrived and we eagerly tasted our selections. The Samosas were delicate and the jalapeño and cheese filling was excellent with just enough heat. The Kale Fritters were amazing! Individual, small leaves were dipped in batter, fried crisp, and lightly dusted with salt. They were accompanied by a sweet and savory sauce and a bowl of spicy crushed nuts. It was the first time I had ever tasted kale prepared that way. We ate it all. Our main courses arrived. Two serving dishes with a separate bowl of the most fragrant rice I’ve ever encountered. Our server told us just ask if we needed more rice. The naan was gorgeous, glistening with butter and garlic. The taste was surprisingly delicate, not overpowering the other flavors in the mains. The Butter Chicken was everything I had heard it should be - tender, melting in my mouth, and the sauce was magnificent with a nice slow burn of spice. My head was sweating a little. One caution, do not try to eat the little peppers on top! I did and it took my breath away, like firecracker explosion in my mouth. I recovered by eating some mango chutney. The baby eggplant was incredible. My wife was impressed with the eggplant preparation and the flavor. Our sauces looked similar on the surface but each was very distinct to taste. We almost finished everything but did bring some home to enjoy later. The finishing touch was a scoop of ice cream to share. Raj, one of the partners told us it was a traditional Indian treat to aid in digestion. I did remember to take some pictures of our food! We highly recommend Andaz and encourage you to add it to your dining rotation. We are very thankful Raj, Sonny, and “the chef” decided to bring this wonderful experience to our village.
